COVID-19 Update

April 24, 2020

Written By: Translogistics

Good evening,

Your team at Translogistics wants to assure you that we are fully operational, working from home, and here to help with both your domestic and international logistics needs.

Many of you have contacted us to provide special instructions for carriers picking up or dropping off freight at your facilities.  We ask that you continue to keep us informed of any operational changes that affect your supply chains.

Trucking Company Update:

LTL trucking companies continue to remain operational for making pickups and deliveries in every area of the country however they are experiencing transit delays, especially in the LTL networks. This has been a result of the carriers needing to shut down certain terminals for cleaning efforts after potential COVID-19 cases and exposures.

On the truckload and intermodal sides, we have experienced no major delays as a result of the virus. Carriers are being proactive trying to ensure shippers and receivers are operational to load and unload their cargo.

It's important that you give TLI as much notice as possible on pickup request, so we can ensure the proper booking arrangements are made with the carriers.

On the international front, air freight rates continue to climb almost daily as availability on many lanes has become extremely limited. Many shippers are competing for the exact same space and airline bookings.

As always, please rely on your team at TLI as a resource and an extension of your business. We are here to help in any way we can throughout this difficult and unique situation

Sincerely,

Your Team at TLI
