The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized Translogistics (TLI) as a SmartWay Transportation Provider. SmartWay Transport is an innovative collaboration between the EPA and various industries designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas, air pollutant emissions, and improve energy security. TLI initially joined the SmartWay Partnership to show its commitment to promote greater air quality and to assist businesses and the environment.
Today, TLI announced that it has received approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to have the agency's SmartWay, logo displayed, due to TLI's compliance within the transportation network.
Amazingly, this is TLI's 8th year as a SmartWay partner!
SmartWay is a voluntary partnership between the EPA and the freight industry. The program’s goals are to lower carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and nitrogen oxide (NOx), while also reducing particulate matter and air toxins. TLI encourages our carrier network to take advantage of the mutually beneficial tools the SmartWay program provides.
Endorsed by leading freight sector associations such as the American Trucking Association (ATA) and the Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), the SmartWay program has been used by over 3,000 companies and organizations to reduce the environmental impacts of goods movement. Many shippers only hire vendors which are designated as SmartWay Partners.
Translogistics encourages all interested parties to visit the SmartWay website at www.epa.gov/smartway to learn more about the programs and tools available.
