With the impending landfall of Hurricane Laura, your team at Translogistics wanted to provide you with the most recent update and carrier developments. Many LTL carriers have just announced LIMITED OR SUSPENDED SERVICE effective today and into at least tomorrow for their Eastern Texas and Louisiana terminals as they prepare for the storn. This means that many regular pickup and delivery drivers are being pulled back to the terminals for safety from the impending weather event, resulting in shipment transit delays. Many LTL carriers have also suspended their linehaul operations for these affected terminals, which means freight will not move in or out of these areas overnight and into at least tomorrow morning.
